http://www.digitalworldz.co.uk/293280-a … wners.html More worryingly for TM800 owners though, is whats going on, here http://download.for-better.biz/bbs/list … d=feedback If you have the time, and youll need a lot of it, as well as the ability to actually pick out whats actually being said ABOUT the TM800, what first started out as (stripped down versions follow) 'What issues are people having, so we can fix them' soon turned into 'It will take a year to create a fully functioning TM800 image' and then became 'Once current stock of the TM800 is depleted, the model will be discontinued' Its a very messy affair at the moment, but, the last words about the TM800HD are that its going to be discontinued, and become an obsolete model, any owner with any outstanding functionality issues is being guided towards contacting Technomate DIRECTLY for some form of resolution. Technomatesoftware blog will endeavor to keep you updated (as long as we can make sense out of it all)]]>
Rats DW UK channel list updater, tested and working.
LraiZers auto boquets, for those who want channels to
have the same numbering as official Sky UK receivers,
Set to Wales HD by default, but can be changed, this is
an older version of the plugin for ease of use with the
TM800 receiver, tested and working.
Rytec EPG downloader, updated, and set to download
48 hours of EPG every 24 hours, tested and working. Skin has been changed for HD viewing. Miniweb has been edited, spelling mistakes and grammar
sorted out, as well as one or 2 other small edits. BUGS! This image still has all of the original TM800 core level bugs.
Internal HDD over 120Gb will cause issues with recordings etc
120GB or less is fine. Carrying out a 'Factory reset' can leave
the receiver in an unstable condition, this is the ONLY reason
this image doesnt run the wizard after flashing. http://blog.technomatesoftware.co.uk www.technomatesoftware.co.uk/index.php?dir=TM800HD%20Linux/DW%20images/&file=TM800_update-Dd-tmsw-20121021.rar MD5SUM : 04700662461572E3E8518554969D03AD ]]>

Thanks to Jimux from allsats team for the following:
Basically we have intervened between the hard disk and the firmware drivers by diverting output to a logical disk instead of direct to the physical disk. The system works well on all the disks we have tested but our resources are limited so we would like all members with TM800 boxes to try it. Whilst it is only necessary if, like me, you have a disk that wont record the system is robust and can be used on any disk.
Installation is two parts.
1. Install the attached DiskUtilities.xml file in /etc/ppanels 2. Open PPanels, Internal Disk Utilities
. Download software – don't worry it sits on the hard disk and does not reduce memory space like addons do.
. Create a disk of a suitable size. The process is slow but you can leave it running and go back to watching TV.
. Set the default recording path. And now you are ready to record to your internal sata disk, regardless of what make and model of disk you have. We would appreciate feed back, both positive and negative so we can enhance the system if necessary. Functions
create 220.127.116.11GB disk
Set new default recording path
Move recordings en mass to internal disk/movies, front usb, rear usb
Delete en mass all recordings in logical disk
remount disk after a reboot Presentation
Only valid functions are shown.
Cannot make disk before downloading software.
Cannot download software twice
Cannot delete or move non-existing files.
Can only move files to mounted devices. Note: This software will work on any TM800HD image, but the PPanel presentation layer relies on the enhanced Andromeda-HD PPanel interface to show all helptext and output correctly. The Andromeda PPanel has 3 lines of context sensitive help text, a wider window with more characters per line and dynamic highlighting of current line to assist in reading wide output. further information also available at allsats.co.uk ]]>
